Surviving Mars Green Planet Ignorant Edition.

I wish I could chat with the game developers, I have sone ideas... Waiy don't we all?

I decided to really get to know the tech paths and research priorities in creative mode.

Overall, the game is very enjoyable to play. Some of the pointing mechanics are really annoying. And, trying to find a good balance for idiot people who end up homeless or out of work... They need a system that tells them what is available and where. Both housing and enppliyenent need to be updated with each person.

The most annoying thing that gets me is the developers have Hawking Institute as a high level research building. To honor the late Steven Hawking. Only the most important modern day scientist who lived life in a wheelchair.

In my current game I made it to Sol 171. This seems to activate a preset mystery. The Mirror Sphere.

I do mind the challenge, but as it unfolded it made me think of how inaccurate the game really is. Again.

I read up on #ParadoxGames under this game that the developers spent some time really researching this topic and feel they did decent job.

During the initial Mirror Sphere floating over water and then power and seeming to start sucking it up. I thankfully have redundant systems in place to insure my people live.

I shut them off within moments of the attack. It soon lost interest in then areas.

Then it switched attack methods to freezing things. I found out the hard way that heaters are needed to help battle cold. I also made darn sure my power supply was ample. This was before knowing about the sphere issue.

Every place this single sphere went I went and installed heaters. Make sure not to depend only on well water. Use 3 to 4 for water vapor reclamation bubbles for each heater to help provide water to the heater.

Make a series of one heater per reclamation bubble to amplify the water collection. And, hook these into the main water supply also.

Put one heate in the center of four or three water storage tanks and some around the outer perimeter.

Heaters around wells and anything that can freeze will help tons.

Do this as soon as you see the Sphere alert l. Get a headstart on it.

When the sphere split and kept splitting most of my areas had heater protection already.

So the spheres float around for some time and new research opens to help deal with them.

Once my people got the protection research, the planet was making air and was Earth like already I don't  even have domes up and my people go about life as if a normal sunny beautiful dau. Even with the spheres directly overhead.

The simple heater idea came to me because the first sphere used cold to attack with, and if you fight off cold waves before, you use what tools to do that? Heaters, power, water supply. And, as simple as that you can ignore the orbs for the most part.

They seem to keep the cold going and going. So I researched the anti sphere tech, this makes a platform that lures the sphere over it and it uses a tractor beam to shrink it down and hold it steady.

My power grid has over 2 million stored power units, it was and generates almost 90,000 units of electricity. With a demand of about 10,000 to 15,000 units with all heaters going.

I dont think the developers expected someone to build such a resilient system. And, it is branched over several locations to prevent a disaster to one area ruin it for the rest.

My system also takes care of entire area trouble as well.

During this time an oddball person called The Patient appears out of no place.

I decided like I did to help the Sphere, to help this patient.

The developers decided to get rid of all diseases that  plagued mankind. They treat it like that means they eradicated all disabilities also.

I solved the Sphere issue without really trying. I wanted to mention that because I am a wheelchair user. And, personally wanted to let the developers know you can not on any level get rid of disabilities.

I wish game makers would stop being so lazy, and unoriginal as well as impossibly ignorant.

I want to know what research leads anyone to believe that zero disabled people will exist in a time where we are on Mars?

To use Hawking's name in such a glaring desperate use of his name to gain some points in using it... Yet, fail on all levels fail to understand that mother nature itself has built in disabilities for many reasons that able people will just never ever grasp.

I do not imagine being the captain or the rocket pilot on this or any of the people who eventually live on Mars....

I relate to the wheeled drones. Even the ground effect flight drones. Most people will miss that they are not flying way overhead. That they stay within 100 to 200 feet to the ground sometimes as low as about 75 ft. The thinner atmosphere allows a higher window for ground effect flight on Mars.

We need to see people using these things, not all of them mind you. But, some would be cool.

Daily use wheelchair. That is not the same as the basic emergency room transport chair called a wheelchair out of ignorance.

Standard wheelchair or the basic is used mainly with a person pushing the user. This is a short term use wheelchair. 6 months to a year. It is not self propelled because it is not ergonomic for the user.

Daily use wheelchair - these are self propelled by the user and are lifetime typically.

I know it is Star Trek thinking to abolish all sickness and I guess that means disabilities also to some ignorant developers.

Scooters - used to get around when hips are bad. Or, you want to get around at a faster pace.

Crutches - temporary use for a broken leg, sprained ankle. I do not care how much we try to rid the human race of illness and sickness we can't get rid of accidents and other things that happen by nature itself.

Canes - used to stabilize a person and to also in some cases add a little panache to ones personal appearance.

Personally I do like the game overall and if I knew how to properly make the mods I would introduce a much more realistic as far as human experiences go.

I find it insulting that Hawking's name is used yet no one with disabilities is represented. Something we will not be able to just make a pill for or genetically make go away because able people are scared to think about that being a reality humanity must and will always face.

You can't prevent nature.
