Dad snored all my life... When my snoring was pointed out to me. I thought, big deal so I snore.
Turns out snoring is a big deal.
I am not saying snoring causes or caused my dad's cancer, however snoring may increase your chance a of getting cancer five fold.
I had to figure out if I snore through my nose, or mouth. Each has many possible solutions.
I snore through my mouth. That means my breathing passage relaxes and vibrations from breathing cause the sound we call snoring.
At first I was thinking surgery. I snore painfully loud for those around me. Louder than a gas lawn mower, or gas chainsaw maybe both combined.
I was constantly tired, falling asleep during the day.
I also have chronic pain level 8 to 10 using the 0 to 10 scale. If using the 0 to 100 then level 80 to 100. At this point in my life I have been dealing with the pain since 1995 after a work related accident left me this way.
So sleep for me is at best rough.
When looking into what might work I broke down the mechanics of snoring. Once I understood that I had a better idea of what type of device/product to try.
Before I get into what product I used. I want talk about safety first.
For anything you place in your mouth consider what it is made out of. Also where the product is made. Ask the manufacturer for ingredients. Read warning labels as some materials can cause cancer. Just because it says known to cause Cancer in California doesn't mean it won’t in New York...
Just be aware of what material and where produced. After all you will spend many hours with this in your mouth.
